The UK is currently in the throes of a labour crisis, which is having a detrimental impact on the nation’s economy. According to the latest data published by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), as reported by Sky News, there were 1.66million open job vacancies at the end of August, with that number set to continue rising in the coming months. And whilst shortages are being seen across the majority of businesses, several industries and sectors are feeling the brunt of the crisis worse than others.
