New research from Ezra has shed light on the most sought-after skills amongst global businesses in the post-pandemic workplace. Communication was identified as the most sought-after skill with 17.3% of employers saying that helping workers to improve this area is more important than anything after the pandemic year. Effective communication also ranked as the top area of improvement for employers across the UK, China and US among others. Emotional intelligence The second most sought-after skill is emotional intelligence – the ability to identify and manage your own emotions, as well as the emotions of others, according to Psychology Today. According to the data, on a global scale, 6.9% of businesses said that emotional intelligence is the most important skill that they want to see their workforce build upon.
